Justice Minister – Europe

Position Summary

The Justice Minister – Europe serves as the chief judicial authority within ISKCON Europe’s regional governance structure, acting under the mandate of the ISKCON Euro RGB. The Minister is responsible for overseeing grievance redressal, adjudication, appeals, and judicial oversight across the European region. The role ensures that justice is administered fairly, consistently, and in accordance with ISKCON law, principles of due process, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hear and adjudicate appeals relating to managerial, administrative, and governance decisions within ISKCON Europe.
  • Ensure due process and procedural fairness in regional and local adjudication mechanisms.
  • Provide judicial oversight to local and regional authorities handling disputes, complaints, and disciplinary matters.
  • Intervene in cases where local mechanisms are inactive, compromised, conflicted, or unable to function impartially.
  • Review allegations of violations of ISKCON law, governance standards, or institutional procedures, and recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Maintain coherence between regional judicial processes and global ISKCON legal and judicial standards.
  • Develop and strengthen institutional justice systems and adjudication capacity throughout Europe.
  • Facilitate mediation, conflict resolution, and institutional reconciliation where feasible.
  • Conduct training, seminars, and educational programs on ISKCON law, due process, ethics, and judicial procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Euro RGB, European GBC representatives, and other ministries on governance and accountability matters.

Required Competencies

  • Strong understanding of ISKCON law, governance, and institutional procedures.
  • Demonstrated integrity, impartiality, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Experience in dispute resolution, adjudication, mediation, or organizational governance.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters confidentially and diplomatically.
  • Capacity to work across diverse cultural and national contexts within Europe.
